NOMS Lifestyle Management
The NOMS Lisfestyle Management is a cardiovascular risk reduction program that encompasses prevention, wellness disease management, fitness and nutrition to help you live a healthier life.
Getting with the program:
After reviewing a referral letter sent to us from your physician, we gather some of our own program specific information about your present level of health and fitness utilizing the following tests and protocols:
- Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR): Simply put, your RMR tells us how many calories your body burns when it is at rest.
- Maximum Oxygen Uptake or MVO2 Test: Administered with a bike or treadmill, this test measures how well your body uses oxygen during exercise.
- Baseline laboratory values: These tests are used to determine your baseline lipids, glucose, liver enzymes, and high sensitivity C-reactive protein
- Physical Therapy Evaluation: This is used to determine your flexibility level
Now it is time to build your program!
Using information from your physician, RMR and MVO2 test results, and your physical therapy evaluation, one of our certified personal trainers will customize a safe and highly individualized exercise program just for you. Once we design your program, a personal trainer will help you get started by demonstrating and explaining exercises and will work continuously with you in meeting your fitness goals. Our staff will always be available to offer support and answer questions
